Stagecoach Convention

In my opinion yes, stagecoach does follow the conventional western. The main character is usually a guy who breaks the law for the better and characters had cowboy hats, pistols and smoking. Most of the conflicts deal with the Native Americans with very long fighting scenes. Locations consisted with real horses out on real land, also in bars.

Rashamon vs Citizen Kane

In Citizen Kane, the point of view of the characters were very truthful, they didn't have to lie and had no point in lieing. In Rashamon's point of views, the characters lied or even added or took things away from the story, so we never got the real truth. Their themes are that humans are selfish and won't put people before themselves.

Animation is known to be Hollywood's speciality because we are the top in technology.Rashamon came by Japanese Cinema. The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari was introduced by the Germans which was the first horror film.

I haven't seen any western movies. Nor have I heard about any. Some characteristics of western would be action, good guy bad guy act and cowboys.
